[Percy Jackson] [Percy/Annabeth] Structurally Unsound

Just a little 100-word drabble, because I got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday so I can't do much but sit around the house, mucking around [livejournal.com profile] 31_days, playing catch-up with the Memories because I am TRAGICALLY behind. T_T Anyways. (my mouth hurts.)

Title: Structurally Unsound
Author: [livejournal.com profile] k_puff
Pairing: Percy/Annabeth
Genre/Rating: a 100-word drabble of completely innocent genfic fluff! My favorite kind. XD
Summary: Annabeth's architectural know-how becomes useful in the oddest of circumstances.

Percy stabbed his marshmallow with a stick, setting it to brown between two glowing pieces of firewood that conveniently leaned against each other, tent-like.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Annabeth warned.

"Why not?"

She nodded toward the two pieces he had stuck his marshmallow between. "Those," she said, "are, structurally speaking, doomed. I'd give it three, two, one--"

And just like that, the two pieces dislodged from their precarious position and fell directly onto Percy's waiting marshmallow, which then immediately fell off and burst into flames.

Percy laughed. Annabeth looked at him, rolled her eyes, and smiled.
