1. Reply with your name and I will write something random about you.
2. I will then tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I will pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I will say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I will tell you my first memory of you.
6. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll then ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your LJ.

Okay, so I was at the gas station with my Mom a couple of days ago, because she was driving me to work, and the people there had to send us away because THEY RAN OUT OF GAS. 0.0 Whoa...I mean, that's so wierd! It's the stuff that I've heard my teachers talking about happening years and years ago, but I've never actually thought it would happen so soon. Freaky. I actually started to get sort of scared for awhile. I mean, almost nobody gets a full tank of gas anymore. They can only afford to get gas in about $10 or $20 amounts at a time. WE NEED ANOTHER ENERGY SOLUTION. NOW. People have been throwing around ideas, and they need to settle on something. Because it occured to me that we're running out of time to dilly-dally. FAST.
Because I just can't leave a question unanswered, and two seperate people have asked me the same question, I'm supposing that I'd better talk about it! ^_^

I've been singing since about ever. ^^ I've always sung along with soundtracks and stuff (you know, those catchy Disney tunes...they'll get you every time! ^^;;), since I was about yay tall to just even three minutes ago ^^;;. I guess I really started in 6th grade, when I joined the elementary school choir. I've never had any formal lessons until I started just about two weeks ago; I'd just joined choirs left and right. Before I knew it I was in teen church choirs, and then adult church choirs, and then in Sophomore high school choirs, and now I just got accepted into the junior/senior high school choir.

That's why Mr. Davis (my school choir director) wanted me to start taking lessons. He said that if I officially worked on honing my voice, then he'd put me in the higher choirs. So I started lessons about two weeks ago, and they're really cool. ^^ My teacher's really nice. And my mom's never heard me sing before (because I don't really like to sing in front of her...I mean, she's my MOM.) so she's totally blown away. it turns out that by singing in all those choirs for so long, I've naturally picked up on all these tricks that it normally takes singers ages to learn. So I've got really great tone and FABULOUS range.

Lisa (voice teacher!) was taking me through some warm-ups the other day, and I guess she wanted to see how high I could go. So she kept going higher and higher, and I kept thinking 'okay, she's got to stop soon...how can she possibly be MAKING ME GO ONE HIGHER?...okay this is it, this is the last time...WHY ARE WE STILL GOING??? AND HOW AM I HITTING ALL OF THESE???' But she kept going, and I kept going, and I was working hard! I mean, singing that high is a lot of work. And so few people know it because so few people ever go that high up. But it's a lot of breath and a lot of lung power for this really thin sound that doesn't seem quite worth the effort to get to, and you keep taking bigger and bigger breaths because otherwise no sound is going to come out AT ALL, and I was seriously sweating by the end. But it was worth it! Because finally she stopped and said, "okay!" and I was sort of panting, and I went, "HOW HIGH WAS THAT??"

It was a high F#. For those who have no idea how crazy that is, go to a piano. Find middle C. From there, find regular F#. Then go one octave above that. Then go one octave above that. That's the note I hit. 0.0 <--major surprise! The highest I'd ever gone before was the high D#. And that was only a month or two ago.

HOLY SHIT. HIGH F#. (I'm still marveling.)

And I hadn't even gone flat. My tone quality was good, I was right on the note, and everything. And the kicker was, I'd never been formally trained before. NERRRR~

So now she's got me started on this Mozart song. Two lessons in, and I'm started on Mozart. CRAZY.

...Wow, that turned into a much longer rant than I thought it would be. ^_^;; I'm just sort of in shock still, that's all. I mean, I thought I was pretty good, but I didn't think I was so CRAZY-GO-NUTS good. The downside with having to go to work during the day is that I don't get as much opportunity to update.
