a_white_rain, Top 5 Favorite Jack/Ianto moments
1. PTERODACTYL FIGHTING UM. YOU CANNOT TOP THAT.
2. Naked hide-and-go seek. "He cheats. He always cheats."
3. In "Meat", when Jack turns and says, "Do I show off?" and Ianto says, WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT, "Just a bit." XD Those two...God, I love those two.
4. It's not really a particular moment, but I love how Jack's randomness totally does not surprise Ianto at all. He just takes it totally in stride. "He said he wanted me to get you one of those red UNIT caps." "Well. Red is my color."
5. I love when they bicker like a couple. So, basically, that whole scene with the two of them in the office, and Ianto's all blushy and cute. ^_^
Forsiochembio, Top 5 Favorite DW episodes
1. "The Doctor Dances", because. NINE. AND ROSE. AND JACK. AND AND AND. ~^___^~ So many great moments in that episode... trying to resonate concrete... oh NINE.
2. "New Earth", because it shows off David Tennant in all his David Tennant-y glory. That scene where Cassandra is in his body for the first time never fails to make me giggle insanely.
3. "Blink", because it was the first episode of DW where I actually understood why people talk about hiding behind sofas when they watched the show as kids. It was excellently directed as well, especially concerning how little involvement the Doctor and Martha had in it. It's one of those episodes I show my friends to get them hooked on Who. ^^
4. "Dalek". It shows off Christopher Eccleston at his best, and why he made such a FANTASTIC Nine (pun honestly not originally intended, but I'm gonna roll with it). This episode is heartbreaking, and the reason why I ship Rose/Nine. Nine is so -broken- in this episode, and Rose is at once comforting and no-nonsense about it. "What about you, Doctor? What are you turning into?" She knows how broken he is, but is determined that he rise above it because she KNOWS that he is capable of so much more.
5. "Fear Her". It's the last great hurrah of Ten and Rose, and it really illustrates how far Rose has come since Nine blew up her job as a shop girl. She's strong and confident, and the episode shows Rose and the Doctor, and how they interact, and how they WORK. They WORK. I love them. (I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that scene with Ten and Rose and "are you *deducting*?" and OMIGAWD)
Forsiochembio, Top 5 Favorite Cosplay/Cosplay Moments...with picspam!
1. Basically, whenever someone wants to hug me, take a picture of me, or take a picture WITH me. This is my favorite part of any convention, because it means that I've done my job (and done it well). It means someone thinks my work is worth some extra attention in a crowd of other costumed people, and it feels WONDERFUL.
2. I still think my Harry Potter costume is the most 'realistic' of all of my costumes.
I freaking LOVE this costume. I look fantastic.
3. My Jareth costume is really great, because people who don't know Labyrinth think it's alright, but anyone who has even seen Labyrinth goes absolutely CRAZY when they see me. XD It's a costume so rarely done, but Jareth is so wildly popular. I get a LOT of hugs when I wear this. Once I had a small team of Asian girls burst into applause when they caught sight of me. It was a more than a wee bit surreal.
4. I have a really fantastic Elphaba costume I've used for performances; depending on how I wear it, I can use it for either pre- or post-Defying Gravity Elphaba, but my favorite is pre-Defying Gravity Elphie; also known as Shiz!Elphie.
5. I don't know if this counts as cosplay, because it's not of a specific character, but it is one of my favorite costumes to wear because it's so surprisingly comfy. A friend of mine was having an 80s themed dance party where everyone had to come in 80s wear, and I had a LOT of fun with my outfit. (You can't see my makeup very well in this pic, but OMG BLUE EYESHADOW LIEKWHOA)
Forsiochembio, Top 5 Favorite Roles in Musicals I Would Love to Play.
1. Naturally, Elphaba in "Wicked". This musical changed my life, and Elphie's character really connects with me. Every actor/actress has that One Role that comes so naturally to them it's like not acting, and Elphie would be like that for me, I think.
2. Mary Poppins in "Mary Poppins". HOW MUCH FUN WOULD IT BE TO BE MARY POPPINS!? XD She's awesome. Plus, you don't find very many roles on Broadway that are purely first soprano.
3. Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun", because it's a funny role with empowering music. Plus, Bernadette Peters has been one of my favorite Broadway actresses since I was about 9, and it would be a thrill to be able to play one of her roles.
4. Peter Pan in "Peter Pan" for reasons which should be self-explanatory. XD
5. Ursula in "The Little Mermaid". XD I know, kind of a surprise on the list, but it's true. One thing I've learned from being typecast as witches in my drama department is that Evil People are SO MUCH MORE FUN TO PLAY. And Ursula is the most fun villain of all, plus her songs are fantastic.
EDITED because after a night's sleep I woke up and remembered roles that I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT AT ONE IN THE MORNING LAST NIGHT.
