If this video doesn't make you feel good inside, then you have a heart of stone. ♥

In other news, I'm making these socks:

In a gorgeous green yarn that I bought at the Sock Summit knitting convention with my Mom this weekend, and I'm so excited. This yarn is GORGEOUS. I mean really, stunning. And so are the knee-high socks that I'm making with it. WITH CABLES. ^_^ I loooove me some cables. Also, knitting goes great with listening to my Harry Potter audiobooks... oh, Jim Dale. I associate you with Harry Potter and Pushing Daisies and other good things in my life.

I know, aren't they beautiful!? ^_^ I'm so excited... and I love just sitting on my bed working on them while I listen to HP. Very relaxing... easy to procrastinate on packing my school things. XP

/just watched that movie yesterday

One of the best scenes in that movie ever, yeah?

Those are lovely socks! Makes me wish I could do more than a simple knit stitch. Ah well, I suppose I'll just have to keep relying on Sock Dreams to feed my addiction.

Purl stitch is the exact same as the knit stitch, but it's facing the other way. If you really wanted to learn, I'm sure you could find, like, a zillion Youtube videos teaching you how. ^_^;; I highly recommend knitting, especially for us drizzly-weather Oregonians. XD

So I've been told. And, yes, it should be simple. But for some reason every time I try it I make a hopeless mess of it. XD Ah well, I'll get it one of these days.

Though the one thing that's hard to do while knitting it... reading, my other favorite pastime. :c

Oh, those are SO beautiful! It makes me think of evenings out in my Uncle's garden in London, with tea and a good book! And audiobooks really are a good idea! I don't own any, but I should think of investing in some, becuase while I'm embroidering, I can't always hold a book up.

One word: LIBRARY. ^_^;; Audiobooks can get surprisingly expensive, actually, and they're sort of a one-time use sort of thing, aren't they? Or one-in-a-while use. Definitely take a good look at your local library's audiobook collection.

Yeah, I forgot that you were crafty! ^_^ I used to do embroidery, but it felt too much to to me like I was spinning my wheels and going nowhere... embroidery is such a slow process. -_- With knitting, I get this physical evidence of my work, which is nice.
