I'M DISTRICT CHAMPION IN POETRY! I GET TO GO TO STAAAAAAAAATTTTTEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

All the happy faces in the world couldn't convey my joy right now. Mom's beside herself. It just feels so great. I mean, I've been doing my poetry all year, and I've never even made finals. I haven't even won anything all year, really, because my friend Stephanie is in all my events and she always wins everything (but she's so nice about it that I can't really be mad at her.) Now suddenly I'm DISTRICT CHAMPION!!!! ^_^ And it wasn't even a contest--I got straight 1s from all the judges!

So now I get to go to State...how exciting! ^_^ I can't wait. Mom and I went out to celebrate. We went to this great Chinese restaraunt, and then we went shopping for my State outfit, and I got a whole lot of makeup because Bobbi Brown was doing this makeover special thing. I've never had real-quality makeup before, so it's really nice.
