You know what I just realized? I was debating with a friend the implausibility of Zutara and I (naturally) started to bring in Maiko as an argument. And I realized:

Is it possible to get any more OPPOSITE from Katara than Mai? XD

Hm. Coincidence? I think not. Will write more on this later.

Katara, Jin and Song are all polar opposites of Mai, other then Ty Lee (who would drive Zuko insane with her perkiness I think. I'd like to see Jin+Ty Lee, for kicks). There is a reason why Maiko isn't computing in my head and it's because Mai isn't the sort of girl Zuko has been attracted to that we've seen so far and as far as I can tell, Mai used to be happier, which was what Zuko apparently liked about her. But they seem to hit on each other in a similar manner to the main couple of the Adams family. I'll never be able to take Maiko seriously.

I got your present! YAY! I LOVE IT! Rob and I are totally going to frame the poster and put it up. It's so awesome. Even before I saw the year on it, I was pointing to a rider and saying, "Ooh, that's Eddy Merckx!" Totally, totally love it. And the kitties love the poster tube. Yay! I'm glad you got it, I was just thinking today that it probably should have arrived by now. Me and my Dad were walking downtown and stepped into this hole-in-the-wall poster store, and I saw it on the wall and I was like WTFHOWMUCH? ^___^ Happy Birthday, darling~
